CAP Field Trips for Spring 2014

Tired of Winter? Wish you could be photographing outdoors in beautiful tulip beds? How about hundreds of acres of lupines? Love to eat pancakes? Love to laugh and have a good time with friends? Learn new things? Then look no further than TWO CAP field trips for Spring 2014

Trip #1

This trip is now full.

What: TULIPS (14,200 of them)
When: Saturday, April 26th, 2014
Where: Harry S. Chatfield Memorial Garden, Warinanco Park,  Union County, New Jersey (Google "Warinanco Park" for more details)

Warinanco Park consists of 204 acres of trees, shrubs, and trails. The highlight of the park at the end of April is their tulips imported from Holland. These bulbs are carefully placed in staggered rows that make up the circular garden's 21 beds of non stop color. No need to spend hundreds of dollars to fly to Holland when we have this wonderful facility just two hours away by car. Rain cancels this trip, there is no rain date.

Trip #2

This trip is now full.

What: LUPINE FESTIVAL
When: June 13, 14, 15 2014
Where: Sugar Hill, New Hampshire

Back by popular demand, CAP is repeating one of it's most popular trips to New Hampshire for the annual Lupine Festival. Imagine a real white steepled church as the background for a field of pink, purple, and white lupines. No digital magic needed here, just natural beauty before a traditional style church. Some fields have pieces of antique farm equipment for added interest among the blooms. Get hungry after shooting sunrise? We take care of that too. Polly's Pancakes is a great place to have breakfast or brunch. Right across from Polly's there are multiple photo ops from barns, horses, stone walls, to birds and cats. If you get tired of shooting, take in the local arts show, shop at the general store, or take it easy on a horse drawn carriage which travels through a sea of lupines at the foot of the White Mountains.

We will be staying in nearby Franconia. Details will be given after sign up. Just a reminder...you and whoever you travel with must be a paid CAP member to attend any CAP field trip. Space will be limited, so sign up early.

Meeting times, locations, and other details will be sent to those who sign up for the trip. Sign up by e-mailing Linda Thomas at Humbrd001@Yahoo.com. Please indicate which trip you are signing up for, your cell phone #, and what town you live in for carpooling purposes. If you will be meeting us at the location instead of carpooling, please let me know.
