Buttonwood Farm CAP Field Trip

By popular demand The Connecticut Association of Photographers is running yet another trip to the sunflowers! On Saturday, July 23, 2016, we will visit Buttonwood Farm, 473 Shetucket Turnpike, Griswold, CT. Come join us for a morning shoot on 15 acres of sunflowers giving you over 450,00 blooms to choose from when selecting just the right specimen to photograph.

You can take a tractor drawn hayride starting at 11am. which takes you through the cow pastures and 4 acres of sunflower fields. The cost is $5.00. All proceeds go to the Make - A - Wish Foundation described below.

The Make - A - Wish Foundation will be on site selling $5.00 bouquets of sunflowers as well as sunflower themed T shirts and notecards to raise money for local children battling life threatening medical conditions. This is a wonderful fund raiser.

And let's not forget the REAL reason why so many want to come back to Buttonwood.....Ice Cream! This will be the best homemade ice cream that you will ever eat. Choose from over 30 flavors of ice cream. They even have sunflower ice cream! The shop opens at noon.

To sign up please contact Linda Thomas at Humbrd001@Yahoo.com. Be sure to include your cell number, where you live, and whether you will be meeting us there, or car pooling.

You and whoever comes with you must be a paid CAP member. Contact Jim Dionne at jimski42@gmail.com to become a CAP member. The cost is a mere $8.00 per year, the best deal in the state! See the link on the main page of the blog site for an application.

Meeting time, weather, and car pooling information will be emailed the WEDNESDAY before the trip (7-20-16). Weather changes, plans change, and field conditions vary. Please check your email at that time, but if you have any questions or concerns before then do not hesitate to contact me.
