Evening Photography at Branford Electric Railway

Bigger and Better:
Extended Hours                6:00-9:30pm
More Run-Bys                  Branford Marsh Trestle area with sweeping curve
More Cars
Refreshments                  Coffee and Pastries at the Sprague Visitors Center

The Branford Electric Railway, also known as the Shore Line Trolley is sponsoring their second night photography session on Tuesday, August 28th from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm.  This event is open to all photographers.  Reservations are not required; just show up and have a good time.

Activities start with run-bys, offering opportunities for both still and motion images.  The operators will move selected street cars back and forth several times so we all will have multiple opportunities to shoot while there is daylight.  If you have a special request the trolley staff will do their best to accommodate you.

As the evening becomes darker they will turn on both headlights and car lights and have the cars stationary for long-exposure shots and they will have the car barn doors open and the car barns illuminated.  At least one car in the barn will be illuminated as well.

There is an entrance fee:
     Children under age 16                    $ 5.00
     Adults                                             $10.00
     Seniors 62+                                    $ 8.00

At a minimum you will need fully adjustable camera and a sturdy tripod.  A flashlight and a remote shutter release are helpful.  For mosquito protection wear long pants and a long sleeve shirt and bring bug spray.

The Branford Electric Railway is located at 17 River Street, East Haven, CT (203) 467-6927
